Red-toned autumn make up

Over the weekend, I felt like straying away from my usual eye make up look and tried out a red-toned smokey eye. This colour is perfect for autumn and looks less heavy than lots of grey eyeshadow. I used my favourite highstreet cream eyeshadow formula, the Maybelline Color Tattoo in ‘Metallic Pomegranate’. I’m slowly building up my collection of these. They last all day and are really easy to apply, no skill required!

This particular colour is what I would call a burgundy shade, with a hint of shimmer. I love plum and berry tones in autumn make up trends, but rarely wear bold lipsticks, so an eyeshadow is a great way for me to mix up my look. I kept the rest of my make up very simple as it was a heavier eye look than I’m used to for daytime. I used Mac’s Studio Finish powder, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, Anastasia Dipbrow and Contour Palette and some Burt’s Bees lip balm.

What are your favourite autumn make up trends at the moment?
