They’re almost guilt-free they’re so good…
I don’t normally give into the temptation of Duty Free however on my trip to Barcelona I found myself with a couple of hours to kill. Having nearly missed too many trains/planes in the past due to unlucky circumstances I prefer to have too much time than not enough. Luton airport isn’t the most interesting let me tell you now but I did pick up some real gems in the beauty department.
The Origins Retexturizing Mask has been on my radar for a while now and so far I’ve been loving it. I’d say it’s in between their Clear Improvement and Out of Trouble mask. It has tiny exfoliating beads too so is great if you want to give your skin a good scrub and deep clean at the same time. It’s not drying at all on my sensitive skin and smells like roses too.
Clarins Natural Lip Perfector in ‘Rose Shimmer’. The great things you hear about these lip perfectors are true. They add a delicate amount of colour to the lips and are very nourishing. I’d call these a more glamorous lip balm because they aren’t as gloopy as a gloss but give the lips a more perfected look. Rose is a very pretty pink colour which I like because it looks very natural. I’ve even been known to apply this before bed too because it’s such a good lip balm and also tastes like caramel. Read more about my favourite lip balms here.
Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara. I bought this after hearing Julia Hengel from Gal Meets Glam rave about it in her daily makeup routine post. Her eyelashes always look amazing so I had to give it a go. Normally I’m a drugstore mascara kinda gal as I buy mascara far too often.
However after trying this I can see why people do pay more for mascara. The brush on this is really ‘fat’ and it builds up so much quicker than other mascaras I’ve used. I’d compare it to my beloved Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara but it goes less clumpy when you add more layers. I like to do two layers, let it dry and then add a final coat. Extreme maybe, but I love the effect it gives. It might just be my favourite mascara ever but I’ll keep you updated on that.
