ARE YOU OVERWHELMED AT BEING OVERWHELMED?

Hands up if you’ve ever felt completely fine one day and then the next everything seems to be going wrong. I’m sure a fair few of you raised your hands there. I feel like I’m generally pretty in touch with my emotions and how I’m feeling. More on that in this post. I know when I’m out of sync with things and those inner feelings of anxiousness or stress manifests in external circumstances. For example on Tuesday I felt completely motivated and on top of work/blogging/YouTube (when these photos were taken)  and then the next day I felt like I didn’t have the energy to do any of it.

A year or so ago I probably would have been really annoyed at myself about the sudden mood swing and wallowed in self pity for far too long. I think when you’re used to generally feeling pretty good and positive about things you feel more discord when you don’t. If that makes any sense. Often my negative emotions come from overthinking situations or trying to ‘get’ somewhere. Whether that’s a specific goal or a material object. However as soon as I realise this and how silly it is, it makes it easier to snap out of that mood. Now i probably could catch my thoughts quicker when I notice them going that way but sometimes it’s just too late y’know. So what do you do when you go too far down the rabbit hole in self pity?

Follow my checklist on how I pick myself up again! Scroll down to find out a few of my tried and tested ‘feel better’ activities and one or more might just help you too. And if you take anything away from this post, just remember it ALWAYS gets better. Tomorrow is a new day and a new chance to choose your thoughts.
