Five Conversation Starting Nail Colours

As you know, I'm a big nail polish wearer and while I often stick to a simple pale pink colour, I like to be more daring once in a while and wear an eye-catching shade. I've picked five colours that I always get comments on from friends or strangers.

1.Nails Inc in Swan Street// This is a very very pale green shade, in fact it's almost white. Definitely more of a spring/summer shade and a bit of a pain to apply but it's guaranteed to get some reactions!

2.Essie in 'Cocktail Bling'// I got this colour as one of my Christmas presents and have worn it a lot since then. I love grey clothes so I find this always goes with what I'm wearing. However it's not a boring grey at all, it has hints of blue and lilac in too.

3. Barry M Quick Dry in 'In a heart beat' // I love this coral shade and can't wait to wear this all the time as the weather gets warmer. I think even girls who don't like pink won't be able to resist this shade.

4. Essie in 'Liquorice'// Black nails are sure to get you noticed and this is the glossiest and most easy to apply black shade I've tried. I don't think black nails should be reserved for Halloween, they can look chic and smart all year. I do think black looks best on shorter nails but that's just me.

5.H&M in 'Sepia'// I've been really impressed with the H&M beauty collection and this is a really unusual beige/purple/pink colour that's more interesting than a nude nail but not too over the top. The formula is very smooth and glossy too.
