What's In My Suitcase & Sales Haul

As a pretty organised person, packing comes quite naturally to me. I always leave enough time and will try and pack a couple of days in advance so I don't feel too panicked at the last minute. In two days time I will be heading to Belgium on the Eurostar for a work trip. It's only until Thursday but I'm still very excited - albeit slightly apprehensive as I've never travelled abroad on my own before. My last trip outside the UK was New York back in March so it's been well overdue.

If all goes according to plan, there will be a weekly vlog next Sunday documenting my trip so stay tuned for that one. I spent some of today packing, in between trying to cram as much French in my head as possible before Tuesday, so I thought I'd show you inside my suitcase. Just in case you're as nosy as I am! I'm not one to pack light anyway and since there are no restrictions for liquids on the Eurostar, I haven't been as strict as I would normally be but I have tried to be a little sensible. I won't list every single item I'm bringing (check next week's video for more details) but I'll link the ones I think you'll like!

THE HANDBAG ESSENTIALS

In my handbag I'll be taking the usual, iPhone, chargers, purse etc. I recently upgraded to the iPhone 7 Plus which I am in love with but need to be careful as I haven't got a case for it yet. My work notebook is a beautiful mint green one I picked up in the sale from Urban Outfitters and then I have another folder for documents and tickets. I'll have to bring my work laptop too which I'll be collecting tomorrow.

THE CLOTHES

Clothes-wise I'm bringing just enough to wear something different every day. By sheer coincidence, nearly every single item is from Zara, with a couple of them featuring in my new video. I'm taking two dresses, a blouse, some black jeans, scarf, gloves, bobble hat and my ASOS chelsea boots. And underwear of course. I may have stuck a thermal top in their too as I have a fear of being cold!

THE TOILETRIES

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = '//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1484509195664?cb=' + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === 'object'){ if(doc.readyState === 'complete'){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, 'script', 'shopsensewidget-script');

My most-used make up products will be coming with me, along with a couple of foundation samples that I'm keen to try out. Mac's Face & Body and Giorgio Armani's Maestro Glow. In regards to skincare, I picked up a load of mini's from Superdrug which will see me through. Luckily a couple of the products I use regularly were already travel size, like my Clinique moisturiser.

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = '//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1484512005004?cb=' + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === 'object'){ if(doc.readyState === 'complete'){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, 'script', 'shopsensewidget-script');

Other random things include travel adaptors and mandatory nakd bars thrown in for good measure. If you want to see the dresses I'm taking in full action, or just fancy having a look at what I've picked up from the highstreet recently, then watch my new video below and let me know what you think! For now I'll say au revoir (God help me) but I'll be over on Instagram should you miss me.
