The Longchamp Le Pliage

The bag that does it all.

I've kept something a secret from you guys and I'm really not sure why it's taken me so long to write a blog post on this. I purchased the Longchamp Le Pliage small shopper bag in colour myrtille while I was working in Bicester Village. The other day I was reading this time last year's excerpt in my One Line A Day diary (FYI the best gift ever) and I mentioned buying it after work. It was obviously the highlight of my day at the time!

I can't remember the exact price I paid as it was so long ago but I think it was around the £30 mark which I don't think is too bad at all being less than half the price of the RRP. Don't quote me on that though as it might have changed since I was last there. Sorry for those of you that are unable to get to Bicester Village! I personally would have paid full price for it though in terms of cost per use because I've used it to death.

Whether I'm staying overnight somewhere and just need an outfit and toiletries, if I'm doing a blogging shoot and need to carry extra things or I'm going to the gym, I grab my Longchamp shopper every time. I find the design very simple which I like as it goes with any outfit. It's super lightweight because it's made of nylon canvas and has a secure zip fastening and button closure on top. Particularly important if you're in London.

A year later I can still remember my indecision about which colour and size to go for - there are so many options - but I'm pleased I went for the one I was first drawn to which is a chocolatey brown. On this particular day I was heading to the gym after work so had all my gear with me but I think it looks nice and understated without letting everyone know you're about to go workout!

Have I attempted to fold it back into the original notebook size? Not quite but I have no doubt it would be much easier than getting a sleeping bag back into its original position - ah the good old days...
