Your body is not the problem, it’s the thoughts and emotions surrounding it that is. All of us have a unique relationship with food. Some of us eat when we’re stressed and others restrict. There’s no right or wrong way to eat, as long as you are feeling good. The issue comes when you start to get out of balance and are ignoring your body when it tells you it’s had too much or it needs a bit of variety. Do you take the time to tune in and listen?
In this podcast episode I discuss my history with emotional eating patterns, how it’s shown up recently for me and the steps I take to get back into balance.I also discuss self-compassion, mindfulness and being healthy for you and no one else.
Remember that no matter what level of eating problem you currently have, you can make a change any moment you choose to. Emotional eating happens to us all, no matter what size you are or how much you visit the gym. Apply the tips I share in this episode to your own life and I promise you’ll find more relief around food straight away.
